You are in control of the data Advertise.Network holds about you and about any social channel you have connected to your account. This page explains exactly what we store, and the three ways you can have it removed. Nothing here requires you to contact us first — the first two options take effect immediately and are entirely in your hands.
1. What we receive from Facebook and Instagram
When you connect a Facebook Page or an Instagram Business account, we ask Meta only for what the feature needs and store only what we display back to you:
- The Page or account identifier, its name or username, and its profile picture URL.
- Public audience figures — follower count, fan count and number of posts.
- Aggregate engagement figures derived from recent public posts, such as average likes and comments.
- An access token issued by Meta, held encrypted at rest, used only to refresh the figures above.
We do not receive or store your password, your friends or followers list, your private messages, or the content of anyone else's account. We do not post anything on your behalf.
2. Option 1 — Disconnect a channel
This is the fastest route and it is self-serve. It removes the connection and the data that came with it, while leaving the rest of your Advertise.Network account untouched.
- 1Sign in at advertise.network and open Properties from the sidebar.
- 2Find the connected Facebook Page or Instagram account in the list.
- 3Choose Disconnect on that channel and confirm.
The access token is revoked and deleted at once, metric refreshes stop, and the figures we had pulled from Meta are cleared. Any deletion you make here is immediate — there is no queue and no waiting period.
3. Option 2 — Remove our access from Meta
You can also revoke access from Meta's side, without signing in to Advertise.Network at all. This invalidates our token immediately, and our next refresh finds the connection gone and clears it.
- Facebook: Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → select Advertise.Network → Remove.
- Instagram: Settings → Website Permissions → Apps and Websites → select Advertise.Network → Remove.
Removing access from Meta stops any further data reaching us. If you also want the figures we have already stored erased, use Option 1 as well, or send us the request described below.
4. Option 3 — Delete your account and all of your data
To have your entire Advertise.Network account erased — profile, connected channels, campaigns, messages and the social data above — email us from the address your account is registered under:
- Send to info@advertise.network with the subject line "Data deletion request".
- Tell us the email address the account uses, so we can identify it.
- If you want only your connected social data removed rather than the whole account, say so — we will do exactly that and leave the account in place.
We must write from a request we can verify, so please use the registered address. If you cannot, write to us anyway and we will confirm your identity another way before acting.
5. What happens after you ask us
We acknowledge every request, and we complete verified deletions within 30 days of receiving them. We will tell you when it is done, and we will tell you if any part of the request cannot be met and why.
6. What we keep, and why
A small amount of information survives deletion because the law requires it, not because we want it. Records of completed transactions — invoices, tax records and payment references — are retained for the period Indian tax and accounting law requires. These are financial records; they are not used to identify or contact you afterwards, and they hold nothing we received from Meta.
Everything else is deleted. Backups are rotated on a fixed schedule, so a copy may persist briefly in an encrypted backup until that rotation completes.
7. Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you hold over your data, alongside access, correction and objection. Our Privacy Policy sets out all of them in full, together with how we process personal data and who we share it with. This page is the practical route to the deletion right specifically.
