Searches that search everything, and filters that stop stranding you

Every list in the dashboard was checked against three questions: does search find things, do filters narrow, and does the pager actually go anywhere. Several couldn't answer yes. Reports paged through the same rows forever, two searches only looked at the page you happened to be on, and choosing a filter could leave you staring at an empty list with nowhere to click.

Reports now page, search and filter over all of them

The reports list asked the server for page 2, and the server had no idea what a page was — so page 1, 2 and 3 came back identical. The count in the header described the rows on screen rather than the ones you have, so the pager drew a single button and a report past the first twenty could not be found at all. The date filter was sent under names the server never read, so it did nothing.

Reports load once now, and the search, the filters and the pager all work over the complete set. The date range is an overlap test against each report's own reporting window — the one printed on the row — so picking a month finds the reports that cover it.

Two searches that only looked at the page you were on

On Briefs and on My applications, typing in the search box filtered only the rows already fetched, while the summary cards above counted your whole set. With 104 briefs the cards would say 80 and the list would show whatever happened to be on page one. Both now search on the server, over everything.

Briefs search also reads descriptions, not just titles — which is what the list had always matched — and applications now match on the advertiser's name as printed on the card.

Creatives stopped at 100 without saying so

Past a hundred creatives, the rest were simply unreachable, and the count line said "of 100" regardless of how many you had.

Filters no longer strand you past the end of a list

Choose a filter while on page 3, and if the narrowed result fits on one page you were left with an empty list and a pager offering nowhere to go. Nineteen controls did this — across marketplace deals, bids and listings, vendors, billing invoices, transactions and payouts, fraud events, creatives, audiences and team. All of them now return you to the first page, and the pagination itself will no longer sit on a page that has no rows.
